8. Replacing the Batteries
When the batteries are getting very low, the transmitter’s bicolored self-test LED indicator will alternately flash
between GREEN and RED. When this occurs, or at least once a year, replace the transmitter batteries. AA
alkaline batteries should be used for long battery life. Rechargeable batteries are not recommended.
Referring to
Figure 5
:
1. Fully release the two captive screws and remove the battery door.
2. Remove and replace the AA alkaline batteries. Be sure to observe the correct polarity.
3. Replace the battery door and secure using the two captive screws. Tighten the battery door screws until
they are snug, plus half a turn.
