Freeway DSL User’s Manual 

 

4.4 WAN 

4.4.1 Channel 

Configuration 

This page is used to configure the parameters for the channel operation modes of your ADSL 
Router. 

 

 

 

Field Description 
VPI/VCI 

Enter the PVC identifier (VPI and VCI) provided by your ISP. 

Encapsulation 

Select the encapsulation mode for the connection. Your ISP 
should inform you which mode to use. 

Channel Mode 

Select the channel type for the connection. Your ISP should 
inform you which type to use. 

Enable NAPT 

Select the radio button to enable NAPT (Network Address Port 
Translation). 

Admin Status 

Select the radio button to enable/disable administration status. 

PPP User Name 

To enter a name to use the PPP session. 

PPP Password 

To enter a password of the login user. 

WAN IP Settings Type 

Select the WAN IP to be fixed IP or assigned form the ISP. 

Local IP Address 

Enter the local IP Address provided by the ISP. 

Remote IP Address 

Enter the remote IP Address provided by the ISP. 

Subnet Mask 

To enter the subnet mask provided by the ISP. 

Default Route 

Select the radio button to enable/disable default route. 

Enable Auto-PVC 
Search 

Check to allow the Freeway DSL to search for PVC settings 
automatically.
