Freeway DSL User’s Manual
4.3.5 WPS
This page is used to configure the settings for WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup). It uses a push-
button or a 4- or 8-digit personal identification number (PIN) to simplify the secure network
setup. The PIN can be generated by software or preprogrammed into a client device and
printed on an included card. With WPS, Freeway DSL can automatically set the SSID or
network name as part of the setup process and provide strong encryption keys to client
devices. You do not need to configure SSID, wireless security setting, etc., in the client
software. In order to use WPS, the wireless client software must also support WPS.
