3.5.2.
QoS Port Configuration
Fixed Priority
– value 0 to 7 (Low Priority 0, Highest priority 7)
Classifier
– This selects which type of QoS will be used on this port. The options are;
Fixed – Based on the fixed Priority field
802.1p These setting is used to map a received tagged frame to classify based on
the 802.1p priority
DSCP Using DSCP provided by the hosts for QoS.
Scheduling
QoS scheduler.
Strict
: XLR500 series has four priority queues. In strict scheduling, queue 3 has the highest priority,
queue 2 the next highest. Queue 1 has the next lowest priority and 0 has the lowest priority.
Wfq
: In weighted fair queuing(WFQ) scheduling, an 8, 4, 2, 1 weighting is applied to the four priority
queues.

Re Mapping 802.1P to an internal values
It’s possible to re-map the 802.1p QoS values . As can be seen values between 1 to 7 can be remapped to
internal values of 1 to 7
