VID - 

802.1Q VID (VLAN identifiers)

 

- An integer in the range 1 ~ 4095 (Default is 1) 

Untag - 

Untag Frames to egress the port(s) are untagged.

 

Tag - 

Tag Frames to egress the port(s) are tagged.

To add VLANs to the trunk ports. 

This command is effective only in trunk VLAN operation mode. 
In trunk mode, the ports have the allowed VLAN list. The tagged VLANs in this list are only allowed to 
transmit and receive by this port. All untagged frames are assigned to the PVID (called native VLAN ID). 
When the frame with native VLAN ID egress, it is untagged. 

 

The Set Tag Based VLAN table displays which ports are in which tagged VLANS The field under VID 
displays the VLAN ID given to the VLAN (1 to 4095). In the example below we only have 3 VLANS 1 
to 3

Port Based VLAN ID’s

 

This command is effective only in trunk VLAN operation mode. 
In trunk mode, the ports have the allowed VLAN list. The tagged VLANs in this list are only allowed to 
transmit and receive by this port. All untagged frames are assigned to the PVID (called native VLAN ID). 
When the frame with native VLAN ID egress, it is untagged. The default value of the PVID is 1, and 
Valid range is between 1 and 4095.
