When the engine fails to start:
Check if the choke lever
is in it’s proper position
Set the choke lever to
the “CLOSED” position
Check if the fuel valve
is open
If it is closed, open it
Check the fuel level
If the fuel tank is empty,
refill it. CAUTION: Do not
overfill
Check if the engine
switch is in the “OFF”
position
Turn the engine switch
to the “ON” position.
Ensure that the genera-
tor is not connected to
an appliance
If it is connected to an
appliance, turn off the
power switch on the ap-
pliance and unplug it.
Test to see if the spark
plug cap is loose.
If it is loose, push the
spark plug cap back
tight
Check the spark plug for
carbon build up
