System Power Wiring
Each CH1000 system is provided with a standard 6 ft line cord which mates with the 120 VAC socket on
the bottom edge of the central cabinet as shown below. Plug the receptacle end of the line cord firmly
into the socket on the bottom of the cabinet, and plug the other end into a 120 VAC outlet. If power will
be entering the cabinet through conduit instead, then the following steps need to be followed:
1. Inside the CH1000 cabinet, disconnect the black and white wires connecting the AC socket to
power distribution board (PDB1) terminal strip TS1. Disconnect the green ground wire
connecting the AC socket to the ground stud on the bottom of the cabinet.
2. Install appropriate wires through conduit and into the cabinet.
3. Attach the ground wire entering the cabinet to the ground stud located on the bottom of the
cabinet (labeled with a green ground symbol) using a #6 ring lug. Ensure that the ground stud at
the bottom of the cabinet is still wired to the appropriate pin in terminal strip TS1 located on the
PDB1.
4. Using a slot screw driver, loosen the two screws which fasten the terminal strip onto the PDB1.
5. Using the same slot screw driver, connect the black (Hot), and white (Neutral) wires entering the
cabinet into the appropriate pins in terminal strip TS1 on the PDB1. Observe the markings on the
PDB1 to determine the correct position, as well as using the picture below to determine correct
wire colors.
