4. Exit the Registry Editor.
Information is now ready to be added to the incoming/outgoing deny list (blacklist). The
information is contained in the blacklist.cfg file, whose default location on the FaxPress
server is C:\Castelle\System\Cfg\.
Note: If the file does not exist, verify that you are running the latest version of
FaxPress. A new file can be created in Notepad and saved as blacklist.cfg in
the directory C:\Castelle\System\Cfg\. However, some features may not
work on certain FaxPress server models.
Opening the blacklist.cfg in Notepad or text editor will show the following sections:
[Outgoing
]
[Incoming Caller ID]
[Incoming CSI]
[Incoming Options
]
The
[Outgoing]
section contains phone numbers that you wish to prevent outgoing calls
to. The phone number should be in canonical 1-408-555-1212.
Note: Phone numbers should be preceeded by any country-specific codes and
prefixes, if required, and needs to be preceeded by the plus sign (’+’).
Blocked outgoing calls will be displayed in the log with a 9940 error code.
Example:
[Outgoing]
+1-408-555-1212
The
[Incoming Caller ID]
section contains phone numbers that you wish to block. The
phone number should be in canonical 1-408-555-1212.
Incoming calls blocked using caller ID information will be displayed in the log with a 9942
error code.
Example:
[Incoming Called ID] +1-415-555-1212
The
[Incoming CSI]
section contains the CSID or company name that you wish to block.
The CSID information must be written in all caps (for example, Captaris).
Incoming calls blocked using CSI information will be displayed in the log with a 9941 error
code.
