Note
Important
z
The printer is equipped with
a floating internal structure, so when you connect the
printer cable if the connector moves slightly this does not indicate anything abnormal.
T
IEEE1394 Connection
Connect the IEEE1394 cable to the IEEE1394 port on the back of the printer
then to the IEEE1394 port on the computer.
Printer back Computer
With a connector aligned correctly, push it all the way in to connect it
securely.
z
Be sure to use a standard IEEE1394 connection cable with a 6-pin connector.
z
For the IEEE 1394 port connection, only one printer can be connected to each
computer. If more than two printers are connected to a computer, this printer may
not operate correctly. When the printer is printing, make sure that the printer, the
computers, and other equipment connected with the IEEE1394 cable are not
switched off or disconnected.
z
Be sure to connect the correct type of interface cable. To avoid damaging the cable or
connectors, make sure the pins are aligned correctly when you connect the cable.
