Start [Windows Live Photo Gallery] (or [Windows Photo Gallery]).

For [Windows Live Photo Gallery]

From the [Start] menu, select [All Programs] -> [Windows Live] -> [Windows Live Photo Gallery].

For [Windows Photo Gallery]

From the [Start] menu, select [All Programs] -> [Windows Photo Gallery].

Open the [Import Pictures and Videos] dialog box.

From the [File] menu, select [Import from camera or scanner].

Double-click the scanner icon.

The procedure from Step 7 onwards varies, depending on the operating system that you are using on your computer.
Follow the instructions below.

For Windows XP:

Follow the [Scanner and Camera Wizard] instructions.

For more information, see Step 6 through 14 in "

Scanning from the [Scanner and Camera Wizard] dialog box (Windows XP

For Windows Vista/Windows 7:

Proceed to Step 7.

Specify the scan settings.
