Shooting Movies



While shooting a movie, be careful not to
cover the microphones with your finger.

This camera is compatible with the function turning on the LED light
automatically in low-light conditions during autoexposure shooting.

For

details, refer to the EX-series Speedlite’s instruction manual.

Microphones

Using an EX-series Speedlite (Sold Separately)
Equipped with an LED Light



With certain lenses, focus cannot be achieved with AF. Focus manually
instead (p.120).



Cautions for movie shooting are on pages 204-206.



If necessary, also read “When shooting, note the following:” on pages
132-133.



If [

Movie Servo AF: Disable

] is set, you can focus by pressing the shutter

button halfway.



The ISO speed (100-6400), shutter speed, and aperture are set automatically.



Press the <

A

> button to lock the current exposure setting (AE lock) (p.152).

To release the AE lock, press the <

A

> button again.

In movie shooting modes, you can tap [

A

] to lock the exposure/release the

AE lock.



You can set the exposure compensation by pressing the <

O

> button to

display the range that can be set [

P

] and then turning the <

5

> dial.



Pressing the shutter button halfway displays the shutter speed, aperture, and
ISO speed on the screen’s bottom. This is the exposure setting for taking a
still photo. The exposure setting for movie shooting is not displayed. Note that
the exposure setting for movie shooting may differ from that for still photo
shooting.
