Troubleshooting
Check the following settings
[Network Functions], [LCD/EVF-V70 Luminance]
- Power saving mode cannot be used in the following cases:
• When
> [
Network Settings] is set to [Enable].
• When
> [
¢
Monitoring Setup] > [LCD LM-V1 Luminance], [LCD LM-V2 Luminance] or [EVF-V70 Luminance]
is set to an option other than [Normal].
• When
> [
¢
Monitoring Setup] > [LUT Selection: VIDEO Terminal] is set to [HDR Assist. (400%)] or [HDR
Assist. (1600%)] and [LUT: VIDEO Term.] is set to [On].
Check the remaining battery charge
- Low power warning. If you set [Power Saving Mode] to [Off], the camera will turn off
Cover is open
- The card compartment cover was open when the camera was turned on or switched to
CAMERA
mode. Insert a card
and close the card compartment cover.
Fan error
- The cooling fan may not be working properly. The camera will turn off automatically after a few minutes. Consult a
Canon Service Center.
File name error
- The clip number has reached its maximum value. Save your recordings and initialize the card (
A
46) or delete all the
clips (
A
- Photo numbers have reached their maximum value. Set
>
[

Recording/Media Setup] > [Photo Numbering] to
[Reset] and initialize the SD card (
A
46) or delete all the photos (
A
[Gamma/Color Space] ([HLG Color] or [Over 100%])
Look File not available because these settings are different from those registered with the Look File.
- A Look File is disabled if the [Gamma/Color Space], [HLG Color] or [Over 100%] settings are changed after registering
it. Restore the setting or register the Look file again.
If you change this setting, you will not be able to use the current Look File.
- The Look File’s adjustments to the image quality cannot be applied because the [Gamma/Color Space], [HLG Color],
[Over 100%] settings in the custom picture file are different from those registered with the Look File. Change these
settings or register a different Look File.
Invalid operation
- The following are not valid operations and cannot be performed.
• In MEDIA mode, during playback, trying to add a shot mark to a frame that has one already.
• Trying to add an
$
mark and a
%
mark to the same clip.
• Pressing the REC button when no cards are inserted in the camera.
Lens error Turn the camera off, then on again.
- There was a communication error between the camera and the lens. Turn the camera off and then on again.
Lens firmware update Firmware update failed. Try updating again.
- The lens’s firmware could not be correctly updated. Try updating the lens’s firmware again.
Low Power Warning Check the power supply.
- The input power supplied to the camera (V-mount battery or DC IN 12V terminal) has reached the level set for the
power level warning (
A
200). Check the power source.
- The message appears every time you press the REC button when the power supply is too low (as described above).
Management file error
- Cannot record because the camera cannot write to the file control information. This may occur if the files on the card
were accessed using another device. Save your recordings and initialize the card (
A
May not be possible to record clips on this media
- You may not be able to record clips on an SD card without a Speed Class rating or rated Class 2 or 4. Use a
recommended card (
A
Media full
- The card is full. Replace the card or delete recordings (
A
145) to free some space on the card.
- Recording will not start because the CFexpress card is full. Switch to the CFexpress card in the other card slot to
record.
