Using the Macintosh Printer Driver
Executing Special Functions
Print server
Refers to the computer to which the printer is directly connected via a USB interface cable.
On the print server, select the printer driver called BJC-3000. From the print server, the
progress of printing can be confirmed using the BJ PrintMonitor.
Client machine
Refers to a computer that is connected to the print server via an Ethernet network. From a
client machine, select the printer driver called BJC-3000 (Server). When printing is
executed, data is sent to the printer via the print server. Although the BJ PrintMonitor
cannot be started from a client machine, the progress of printing can be confirmed by
starting the BJ StatusMonitor on the print server.
Selecting the printer driver
To use the printer with a network, the correct printer driver must be installed on each
computer. The print server must be set up first. Then, the necessary settings are made for
each client machine.
