* When you s elect [ Cu s tom WB], do not pre ss and continue in s tead with
the following procedure.
To set the custom white balance
1 Point the camcorder at a white object so it fills the whole screen and
press .
When the adju s tment i s completed, s top s fla s hing and s tay s on.
The camcorder retain s the cu s tom s etting even if you turn off the
camcorder.
2 Press to save the setting and close the menu.

• When you select the custom white balance:
- S et [Digital Zoom] to [ Off].
- Re s et the white balance when you change location s or the lighting or
other condition s change.
- Depending on the light s ource, may k eep fla s hing. The re s ult will
s till be better than with [ Automatic].
• Cu s tom white balance may provide better re s ult s in the following ca s e s :
- Changing lighting condition s
- Clo s e-up s
- S ubject s in a s ingle color ( sk y, s ea or fore s t)
- Under mercury lamp s and certain type s of fluore s cent light s
[ Automatic]

The camcorder automatically s et s the white bal-
ance for natural loo k ing color s .
[ Daylight] To record outdoor s on a bright day.
[ Tungsten] To record under tung s ten and tung s ten-type
(3-wavelength) fluore s cent lighting.
[ Custom WB]
