PYROLYSIS is a system for the high temperature destruction of stains. The work is done
automatically by means of the timer. The resulting fumes are rendered "clean" by passing
through a pyrolyser high temperatures, the oven door is fitted with a safety lock.
As long as the temperature inside the oven is above 320°C, the door cannot be opened.
The pyrolysis cycle may result in a slight odour in the kitchen which will be more or less
noticeable depending on the latter's aeration.
IMPORTANT :
. If you install a cooking top above the oven, never use the gas burners or the electric
plates during pyrolysis to avoid excessive heating of the oven's control panel.
. It is important to clean off any accumulation of grease. Effectively, large amounts
of grease may catch fire under the intense heat emitted by pyrolysis cycle.
. It is strongly advised not to use detergents or any other recommended product for
cleaning ovens.
The pyrolysis oven is fitted with a cooling fan wich protects the control panel and electronics
from heat damage. It begins when the pyrolysis cycle reaches high temperatures and
continues to rotate after the oven has been switch off until the centre oven temperature is
high.
• Before carrying out the pyrolysis cycle :
- Remove all accessories from the oven : they cannot withstand the pyrolyser
temperatures without being damaged ;
- Remove heavy spillages or residues as it would take too long to destroy them.
• Starting a pyrolysis cycle :
- Close the oven door.
- Leave the thermostat control knob in the off position.
- Turn the selector control knob to the left to the "P" mark (Pyrolysis). The programmer
fixes a pre-set pyrolysis cycle time which corresponds to the minimum time required to
complete a pyrolysis cycle and usually allows perfect cleaning.
