Upon receipt of the Wintersense SDI-12, inspect the packaging and contents for damage.
File any damage claims with the shipping company.

The model number and cable length are printed on a label at the connection end of the
cable. Check this information against the shipping documents to ensure the expected
product and cable length are received.

1. Open
Short Cut
and click Create New Program.
2. Double-click the data logger model.
3. In the Available Sensors and Devices box, type Wintersense. You can also find the sensor in
the Sensors > Temperature folder. Double-click the Wintersense Road Surface
Temperature Sensor. SDI-12 Address defaults to 0. Type the correct SDI-12 Address if it has
been changed from the factory-set default value.
The default for units of measure are shown and can be changed by clicking the units of
measure box and selecting another value.
