3.4 SEALING AND DESICCATING THE

ENCLOSURE

The MetData1 enclosure is supplied with desiccant
packs. The desiccant maintains a low humidity in
the enclosure to minimize the chance of
condensation on the instrumentation. The
desiccant must be changed periodically. Place
one or two desiccant packs into desiccant holder
just before leaving the installation site. Be sure to
close the lid. A desiccant change is indicated
when the internal MetData1 humidity sensor
measures 30% or higher. Keep unused desiccant
tightly sealed in an airtight container.
