The scrubber bottles contain strong oxidizing agents. Avoid direct contact with the chemicals
inside the bottles. Also, ensure your work area is well ventilated and free of any reactive
compounds, including liquid water. Store used chemical bottles in a sealed container until
disposal.
The chemical bottles should be disposed of according to local and federal regulations. For more
information, SDS (Safety Data Sheets) for the chemicals are available in

9.6 Factory recalibration
When the IRGASON is manufactured, the gas analyzer is calibrated over a wide range of
temperatures, pressures, and gas concentrations. All CO
2
calibration gases used in this process
are mixtures of CO
2
in ambient air and are traceable to the WMO Mole Fraction Scale maintained
by the Central Carbon Dioxide Laboratory and the Carbon Cycle Greenhouse Gases Group of the
Global Monitoring Division/National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration in Boulder,
CO, USA.
