Emery Dust Exhaustor
The emery dust settles partly inside the CA conveyor put under the stones, partly in
CAP chamber (fig. 1) beneath the grinding unit, partly in CLP chamber located on the
LH side of the machine (fig. 1) and finally it is retained by bag SPA filter at the
exhaustor outlet.
On each knife replacement clean the chambers and the bag filter (par. 7-3).
Routine Maintenance
For the correct use of the machine over a long period carry out the following opera-
tions:
DO NOT USE COMPRESSED AIR
(the warranty would be void)
Daily
Clean the machine
Empty the scrap pan and clean the dust CS filter (fig. 1)
Clean scrap dust inner FC filter (fig. 1)
Clean scrap dust SPS filter (fig. 1), if necessary
Weekly
Clean knife wheel scrapers R00704 (tav. 2)
Clean RH felt plate R01704 (tav. 13)
Clean the grinding unit
Clean emery dust SPA bag (fig. 1)
Clean emery dust (front CAP chambers, emery dust side CLP chamber and CA
conveyor)
Lubricate LH upper FSS felts (fig. 1) with vaseline oil ARIAN 26F by FINA SPA.
Light mineral paraffinic oil, colour ASTM D 1500 2, density 0.868 g/l
Every 8-12 knife replacement (depending on normal or heavy splitting) the
following parts should be replaced:
Top and bottom feed roll bearings R06503/R01203 (tav. 5-6-7)
Guide rollers R04701 (tav. 12-13)
Guide gibs R11101 (tav. 3)
Upper knife back guides R11102 (tav. 3)
Lower knife back guide R04501 (tav. 12)
