11B. MULTIPLE CONTROLLER FLOW
SETUP
Setting up a FLOWSENSE
®
chain involves making
adjustment entries to the Master controller and every
controller that has a flow meter or master valve is
physically installed on. Make sure you are familiar
with the following subsections of Section 4 FLOW:
•
A. Flow Meter setup.
•
B. Line Fill & Valve close times.
•
C. Master Valve.
•
D. Pump.
•
H. Alert Actions.
in addition to the following instructions:
11B.1 Mainline Capacity
System capacity is defined by the maximum flow
rate of water that your system can operate at during
irrigation.
Note: This setting will have to be adjusted at the
Master Controller (the controller with the letter “A” as
the right most character in its communications
address).
From the FLOW METER, MASTER VALVE & PUMP
screen is displayed.
1. Press the MAINLINE CAPACITY

2. Press the blue ARROW keys to
move the cursor to the DURING
IRRIGATION gpm.
3. Press the PLUS or MINUS keys to
change the number.
Use the same method to change the ALL OTHER
TIMES number.
•
DURING IRRIGATION: The during-irrigation
number is the mainline break number used
while the controller is irrigating.
•
ALL OTHER TIMES: The all other times
number is the mainline break number used
when the controller is not irrigating.
•
USE CAPACITY TO LIMIT THE NUMBER
OF STATIONS ON ?:
If you want to use
capacity to limit the number of stations on in
the system change to YES.
This will open up the portion of the screen dealing
with Capacity with or without Pump (Figure 11.7).
4. Press the PLUS or MINUS key to
change the capacity numbers.
During Irrigation 400 gpm
Capacity with Pump 200 gpm
MAINLINE BREAK SETTINGS
All Other Times 150 gpm
(set which programs use the pump)
