Sesame Ginger Garlic Chicken
Ingredients:
4 (5 ounce) chicken breast halves
¼ cup soy sauce
2 Tbsp. white balsamic vinegar
2 Tbsp. honey
1 clove garlic, minced
1 Tbsp. fresh ginger, minced
2 tsp. sesame oil
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt, to taste
Coarsely ground black pepper, to taste
Method:
Remove chicken breast halves from refrigerator about 30 minutes prior
to grilling.
Insert the removable plates into the grill, choosing the side with the
grill
grates. Lift the handle of the grill and press the Lid Switch to release the grill
and allow it to open completely and lie flat, parallel with the countertop.
Turn the Position Control Knob to
“Open”
and the Temperature Control
Knob to
400°f
. The Ready light will illuminate as soon as the grill is
preheated.
While the grill is preheating, combine the sauce. In a small bowl, whisk
together soy sauce, white balsamic vinegar, honey, garlic, fresh ginger,
and sesame oil. (Store sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator. The
sauce can be made a day or two in advance.)
Brush chicken breast halves with olive oil and season, as desired, with salt
and pepper.
Place chicken on grill. Grill for
8 minutes
or until lightly browned.
Turn and cook for
6 minutes
. Brush generously with sauce.
Grill for 2
more minutes
or until 165°F . Or, if desired, sandwich chicken between
closed
grill grates and cook for
5 minutes
. Open grill and brush with
sauce. Close and grill 1 more minute. Remove with a heat resistant
nonmetal utensil.
