3.6.2 Fiber Cord Installation
A fiber connection is required between the ONT electronics panel and the fiber termination point installed in the outer
enclosure. Achieve this by using a user-supplied patch cord.
Install the fiber cord using the following steps:
1. Remove the dust cover from one end of the patch cord and attach the cord to the incoming fiber drop at either the
optional Optitap adaptor or the user-supplied bulk head.
2. Dress the Patch cord around the fiber management feature. Leave the loose end of the patch cord with the dust cover
on. It is connected to the inner enclosure after installation.
3.6.3 Making the Fiber Splice
If a fiber splice is required, the molding also permits up to a 60mm fiber splice to be secured in the molded fiber splice
holder. To minimize optical link budget losses, refer to the fiber manufacturers recommended fiber splicing techniques.
3.6.4 2364 ONT Electronics Panel Installation
Install the ONT electronics panel using the following steps:
1. Install electronics panel by hanging it from the two tabs in the upper part of the enclosure as shown in Figure 3-3.
