NSTALLATION

Processor Modules

Backplane Illustration

The CSX7000 uses a 8 x 2 ISA backplane configuration, which means the slots are electrically 
connected in pairs of two (slots 1 and 2, slots 3 and 4, and so on). In the event that a system group 
requires more than two slots, a shunt must be installed between the pairs. The shunt, resembling 
an electronic comb, would be installed in the slot between the adjoining pair of slots.
