FOR
THE
EMS
You must customize the EMS’ SNMP Agent to reflect the requirements of your installation. To do
this, you must modify the parameters in the Desktop SNMP section of the file
\NWCLIENT\NET.CFG.
Note: Complete information concerning the format of the NET.CFG file and the meaning of all
its options is available in the Novell manual NetWare Client for DOS and MS Windows User
Guide. This manual is currently available on the World Wide Web. Locate it by starting at
Novell’s home page (http://www.novell.com) and choosing the “doc” icon.
Note:
You must put a return at the end of the last line of the NET.CFG file, or that line is ignored.

MIB

ON
YOUR
SNMP M
ANAGER
The SNMP Manager needs to compile the enterprise MIBs from the CSX7000:
•
First, import the enterprise MIBs (cbxbc.mib and cbxies.mib) to the network’s SNMP Manager.
Refer to the Release Notes for the exact location of these MIBs.

Next, compile the enterprise MIBs on the SNMP Manager using the instructions of your partic-
ular application.
