Model 256/PC Instruction Manual

CHANGING POWER SETTING

The Model 256/PC can be set to the other alternate power by opening the unit and changing an
internal switch as follows:

1. Disconnect power cord from unit and remove program cartridge.

WARNING

Be sure that power is completely disconnected from the Model 256/PC
before opening the unit and exposing the internal electronics. Damage
to the circuitry, and/or injury to personnel, could result.

2. Remove four (4) screws from the outside edge of the rear panel to disconnect it from the

housing. (Do not remove any screws from the center of the panel.)

3. Remove four (4) screws along the sides of the bottom of the unit to disconnect the

housing. (Do not remove any screws from center area of the bottom.)

4. Tilt front edge of housing (front panel) up to expose red and black slide switch on upper

circuit board. When tilting housing, be careful not to over-extend internal cabling

5. The red and black switch is labeled for two power settings, and is currently set for the

power source indicated on the outside of the unit. Move the red slide to the desired
setting.

4. Carefully lower housing back into proper position and insert and tighten the four (4)

bottom screws.

5. Reinstall the four (4) rear panel screws and tighten.

6. Label the power cord receptacle on the rear panel with the new power setting.
