Note: Steps 5 through 8 connect the -48 VDC output(s) of the Integrated Fan/Power
Supply to the HWX Equipment Shelf (HX1281EC or HX2281EC) input terminal blocks
(refer to Figures 502-1 and 502-2).
5. Single or redundant Integrated Fan/Power Supply?
• If a single output supply (HW-PSFAN -1- xxx), continue to step 6.
• If a redundant output supply (HW-PSFAN -2- 110), go to step 7.
6. Connect the Fan/Power Supply terminal block “Power Supply A -48V” to either HWX
Equipment Shelf’s rear panel input terminal block “-48VDC 5A” (A or B). To make
wire connections, go to step 8.
7. Connect the Fan/Power Supply terminal block “Power Supply A -48V” to either HWX
Equipment Shelf’s rear panel input terminal block “-48VDC 5A” (A or B). Then connect
the “Power Supply B -48V” terminal block to the other HWX Equipment Shelf rear
panel input terminal block “-48VDC 5A”. To make wire connections, continue to step 8.
