Maintenance
Regularly remove the dust and the chips
after working and use a vacuum cleaner
or a broom. The steel shafts of the guide
profiles should be regularly wiped with a
lint-free, slightly acid-free oil soaked cloth
- also the shafts, which are on the bottom
of the profiles!
At the sides of the linear bearing housing
are felt wipers, which clean the shafts
automatically during the process. Give
these felts regularly a few drops of an
acid-free and thin liquid machine oil. Best
use a disposable syringe with thin
cannula for that. The felts ensure that
there is always a thin oil film on the steel
shafts and this ensures easy running and
protects the shafts against corrosion.
The guide shafts of the Z-axis should be
regularly cleaned of dust and debris. They do not require any further lubrication since the ball
bushings running on them contain a permanent lubricant filling.
Note: The machine is not suitable for use in corrosive or explosive environments and must be
protected against moisture and corrosion. In case of long-term non-use, storage or transport, the
rails must be lubricated.
The toothed belts should also be freed regularly from dust and chips. They must not be lubricated
and require no further care. Toothed belts are wear parts and must be replaced if wear
phenomena, such as fraying, pronounced constrictions, etc., occur.
The toothed rack and the drive pinion of the Z-axis must also be regularly cleaned of residues and
greased easily with a grease suitable for plastic sliding bearings.
