Check the heat-resistance of the fitted units
The admissible cabinet temperature must not exceed the room tempe
70 K(EN 60335).
According to the data sheet (AMK-MB-001 issue date 07/2007) of the working
group "Arbeitsgemeinschaft Die Moderne Küche e.V. (AMK)" the admissible
temperature for the thin parts of cabinet panels is 65 °C and 90 °C for the body.
This applies in particular to veneers, edging, plastic surfaces, adhesives and paint.
In order not to exceed the limit for the adjacent cabinets, lateral ventilation slots
between the front of the unit and cabinet body are provided.
Cooling air from around the appliance's housing is aspirated by the cooling fan
through these ventilation slots and blown out to the front. The vapour from the
appliance is discharged and mixed with the cooling air. For this reason, there must
be an air gap of 5 mm between the appliance and adjacent cabinets.
The cooling air supply to the appliance must not be affected.
Installation of thermal insulation strips is not required
Installation of thermal insulation strips is prohibited for compact
microwave appliances.
