Any faintly 

printed character?

If there is any foreign material on the thermal print head,
clean it up.

Check that the platen roller is set into place and works
normally.

If the printed characters become faint in cycles, the tape
feed sub roller gear in the roller holder ASSY may be
deformed. Replace the roller holder ASSY.

Check that the two positioning bosses provided  on the
frame ASSY are centered in the oblong hole and the notch
part in the head ASSY.

Enter the inspection mode (see Section 3.2)
and do the following:

Replace the main PCB ASSY.

  submode.
