The tape is fed normally but no
printing occurs.
Replace the dry cells with
new ones.
Is the printing normal?
Is the
head flat cable connected
correctly?
Is the
thermal head defective?
End of repair.
Correct it.
Are the solder points
A to C for head ranking
soldered correctly?
Check solder points A through C on the main PCB,
referring to the inspection mode in Section 3.2. If necessary,
change those solder points with lead-free solder.
Correct them with lead-free solder.
(If two solder points out of A through C for head ranking
are closed, the "SLD X" appears on the LCD; if all of them
are closed, the "PCB" appears.
Refer to the inspection mode in Section 3.2.)
Replace the head ASSY.
Are the thermal
head and platen roller
dirtied?
If the platen roller or thermal print head is stained, clean it
with a head cleaning tape or cotton swab.
Black streak to be cleaned
