1. Release the auger control ( A , Figure 9).
2. Turn the ON/OFF switch ( B ) to the OFF position and
remove or pull out PUSH/PULL key.
Never run engine indoors or in an
enclosed, poorly ventilated area. The
discharge chute contains a rotating auger
to throw snow. Never clear or unclog the
discharge chute with your hands.
Fingers can quickly become caught and traumatic
amputation or severe laceration will result. Always use
a clean-out tool to clear or unclog the discharge chute.

Hand contact with the rotating auger
inside the discharge chute is the most
common cause of injury associated
with snowthrowers.

Test - Auger/Impeller
1. Start unit and engage auger control ( A , Figure 9).
