Replace shear bolt. See Section 5.6.
Check auger drive chain and shear bolt coupler chain.
Replace faulty chain. See Section 5.4.
Check auger for obstructions to cause drive pin
breakage. See your authorized Brandt dealer for
replacement parts.

Slow PTO speed, reduce conveying capacity by
opening the vent on the top of the upper body. See
Section 3.7, E.

Find and remove obstruction.
Retension or replace auger drive chain.
Engage PTO slower.
Slow the feed of the material to the auger by restricting
vacuum capacity
Product is entering the auger too fast and compacts
within tube and breaks shear bolts. Open the vent in
the top of the upper body without reducing auger
speeds. See Section 3.7, E.
Allow more air in end of hose with product.
Reduce hose length and or loops or bends in hoses.
Slow tractor RPM.
Increase conveying capacity. See troubleshooting
section on ‘Poor Capacity’.
