S tep 1 . P osition main po w er s w itch to “ O FF ”
S tep 2. Disconnect ( unp l ug ) w ater heater f rom 1 2 0 vo l t
po w er source .
S tep 3 . Un -l atch and remove top surround cover f rom top o f
w ater heater .
S tep 4. Locate contro l board .
S tep 5 . C are f u ll y disconnect a ll w ire connections f rom contro l board .
N o t e: I t may be necessary to identi f y w ires f or proper re - connection .
S tep 6 . Depress the p l astic tabs on the bottom side o f the contro l board f irst .
S tep 7 . Ti l t the contro l pane l and s l ide contro l hook tabs f rom s l ots in the contro l pane l ( see photo be l o w) .
S tep 8 . R ep l ace contro l board and a ll w ire connections .
S tep 9 . R estore 1 2 0 vo l t po w er supp l y to w ater heater and con f irm proper operation f o ll o w ing the l ighting instructions
on the l ighting instruction l abe l , or the l ighting instruction l ocated in the insta ll ation and operating instruction
manua l.
