Adjusting the Drive chain

1.  Adjusting bolt
2.  Locating Nut
3.  Mark
4.  Rear wheel shaft nut.

To Adjust

1.  Park the motorcycle
2.  Loosen the rear wheel shaft nut
3.  Loosen the locking nut
4.  Rotate the adjusting bolt left and right to adjust

the chain.

Note

When a new chain is installed, it is necessary to

check both chain wheels. Replace if necessary.
Ensure that the tension of the drive chain is

adjusted every 1,000 km to ensure that there is

always between 20 - 30 mm of slack in the chain.

Caution

The open end of the drive chain connection clip

should point away from the direction of rotation.
