Information under the heading “CAUTION” refers to the methods that must be followed, or the measures that
should be taken, in order to prevent damage.
Information under the heading “NOTE” includes additional details and descriptions in order to clarify and
elaborate on maintenance requirements and other operational information.
The first 3000 km is a very important period in the service life of a motorcycle. The correct running in of a
motorcycle can guarantee both the longest service life and the best performance of the motorcycle. Running in
can polish machined surfaces and form smooth engagement.
Careful and patient running in can make the motorcycle stable when driving and maximize its performance.
During this period is important not to undertake any operation that may cause the engine components to
overheat.
For the specific running-in method, please refer to the chapter in this manual entitled “Running in of a new
vehicle”.
This manual should always be kept with the motorcycle. In the event that the vehicle is transferred to a new
owner, the manual should also be passed to the new owner.
