Mic Settings
Microphone Start Volume:
These are the levels for the microphones when a microphone is first registered .
OptiVoice:
A useful tool for test-taking and ELL instruction . Fragile consonant sounds carry 75% of the meaning in speech but are easily
destroyed by background noise . OptiVoice strengthens these critical sounds, doing the work of a 12-band equalizer with a sin-
gle switch . For low background noise environments and for a more natural reproduction of your voice, use the low setting . For
environments with higher background noise, use the mid or high setting . Experiment with the right mix of microphone volume
and OptiVoice setting to find the optimal solution for your environment .
NOTE:
OptiVoice affects the Action! microphone audio only .
PrioriTeach:
Use PrioriTeach to have the ezRoom automatically reduce the volume of all other audio sources including Bravo student mics
when you speak into the Action! Microphone . PrioriTeach can be programmed to be turned on and off using one of the Action!
Mic buttons if desired .

The feedback suppression engine helps avoid harsh squealing noise that would normally occur when a microphone
gets too close to a speaker . Nevertheless, try to use volume settings for daily use that give good audibility . Audio levels that are
too high will create listening fatigue in students .
PrivaSEE:
PrivaSEE helps ensure teachers won’t be transmitting into the classroom when speaking to a student in the hallway, eating
lunch, or going to the bathroom if they forget to mute the microphone . Using an IR transmitter in the ClassLight, the PrivaSee
signal will cover the entire room, even larger classrooms . When the microphone does not detect the PrivaSee signal, it will mute
after about 5 seconds . It is designed to work with traditional classroom design (solid walls) . If the classroom has glass walls,
PrivaSee will not work when the teacher is in the hallway just outside the classroom, but it will still mute the mic when the teach-
er is out of view of the classroom (for example in the bathroom) .
