. SIP can
send DTMF signals during calls. This
enables services like telephone menus. Your BOSST101 can
perform this using one of the following three
methods:
•
RFC2833: Send the tones out of band but still
attached to the audio stream via RTP
•
SIP Info: Transmits DTMF tones out-of-band as
telephone-events in a reliable manner independent of the
audio stream.
•
Nortel Info: A proprietary signalling protocol supporting
Nortel proprietary SIP info signalling protocol.
