Table 2: System Status Menu

PSTN Lines This field displays the number of supported landline

connections available.

Analog Extensions

This field displays the number of analog extensions

available for devices such as telephones, fax

machines, and answering machines.

VoIP Channels This field displays the number of VoIP Channels

supported on BOSST101.

IP Extensions This field displays the number of IP devices such as

IP Phones that can connect to BOSST101.

System Backup Mode This field displays the backup mode status.

WAN Information

WAN Mode

This field displays

STATIC

if the BOSST101’s IP

address manually configured (set by your ISP),

PPPoE

if your ISP assigned a username and password, or

DHCP

if the IP address is automatically obtained from

a DHCP server.

IP This field displays the current IP address of

BOSST101 on the WAN.

Netmask

This is the identifier of your network on the Internet

which keeps the internal network structure of your

LAN hidden from the WAN.

Gateway This is the static WAN IP address of the remote

server that connects to the Internet.

DNS Server

This field displays the location of the server that

resolves IP addresses from easy-to-remember

domain names (e.g. ‘www.’).

MAC Address

This field displays the Media Access Control address

assigned at the factory. This is a unique identifier

used for every network enabled device.

LAN Information

IP This field displays the IP address identifying

BOSST101 on the LAN.

Netmask

This identifies the BOSST101 LAN, and keeps the

internal network structure hidden from the network

to which BOSST101 is connected.

DHCP Service

Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol server assigns

dynamic IP addresses to networked PCs or devices.

This field displays the running status of the

BOSST101’s DHCP server as either
