Trunks
The following screen displays a summary of available trunks. Click on
the links in this screen to configure PSTN, VoIP, and Bridge trunk
settings.
The following table describes the fields in the
Trunks
screen.

Field
Description
Trunk List (PSTN)
PSTN connects calls via the traditional landline.
INFO: BOSST101 supports 2 PSTN trunks. By default, all PSTN trunks are set
to
Shutdown
.
Trunk List (VoIP)
VoIP can use SIP to receive calls and ITSP for Internet telephony without the charges
that apply to the traditional landline.
Trunk List (Bridge)
Bridge Calls enable direct connection to remote locations via another BOSST101 over IP.
ID Click this hyperlink to enter the edit screen in order to
configure the desired trunk.
Group No.
This field displays the group to which this trunk
belongs (groups range from 01 to 10). In order to
control telephony traffic, users are assigned a group
through which they make their calls.
Type There are three types of trunks in BOSST101, PSTN
(CO), SIP trunk and Remote IP PBX.
Mode This field displays one the current trunk operating
mode (see
Edit Trunk (PSTN) Screen on page 34
).
Description This field displays a brief summary of the trunk
configuration (up to 32 alphanumeric characters).
Select
Click this checkbox to select the desired trunk
configuration(s) for the
Set Default
and
Delete
functions to act on.
Load Default
Click this button to set the selected trunk
configuration as the default trunk line.
