10.3

Switching Times Y-Repeater

10.3.1

General Information

If an active operator terminal is disabled it takes some seconds until the enabled

screen can be operated. The time interval is the so-called "switching time". This

switching time depends on whether USB devices are connected to "XUSBx"

connections and on the used USB mode.
In order to get faster values in the standard USB mode, all connected VDPs

are to be connected in the standard USB mode. The standard USB mode can

be used up to a cable length of 30 m, see also chapter 7.2.3 "S1 DIP switch".
The values specified in this chapter are valid for devices from index 201 and

higher (see type plate of the Y-repeater).
