Forced ventilation on synchronous servo-motor -MA1
The synchronous servo-motor is equipped with two plug-in connections, X1 for
power and temperature sensorics, and X2 for the encoder system. The motor
power cable and the motor encoder cable are to be connected to plug-in con-
nections. Both cable connections are included in the scope of delivery.
In this case, the synchronous servo-motor has a third plug-in connection, X3.
The required connecting cable has to be supplied by the customer. The related
mating connector is plugged to interface X3 in the condition as supplied.
Motor cooling
In the standard version, the synchronous servo-motors of the servo-hydraulic
actuator are self-cooling. The amount of generated heat is dissipated by natural
radiation to the ambient air and by heat transfer to the machine structure.
Contamination of the motor reduces the dissipation of heat. Ensure cleanli-
ness!
Apart from self-cooling, “external cooling” is also optionally possible.
Make sure that an additional cooling system is active during operation of the
servo-hydraulic actuator, also in the partial load range. A secondary cooling
system reduces the surface temperature of the synchronous servo-motor signif-
icantly faster.
With external ventilation the motor is provided with an axial fan unit (series
MSK and MS2N) or with a radial one (with series MSK only). The fan unit can
be rated for operating voltages of 115 V (60 Hz) and 230 V (50 Hz).

5.3.3 Software interfaces
In the firmware and technology function of the drive controller process and set-
ting data are mapped in parameters. These data can be read and written by the
control and instrumentation level or, with dialog assistance, by means of Indra-
Works Ds via the optional field bus interface. Controlling of the servo-hydraulic
actuator is based on the various protocols of the IndraDrive master communica-
tion. Further information can be found in the PFC and IndraDrive firmware

Service interface
In conjunction with the PC-based IndraWorks Ds service and commissioning
tool, these setting, process and diagnostic data can be read in and read out
and software updates can be made. The connection to the PC can be estab-
lished using a standard RJ45 Ethernet cable.
5.3.4 Hydraulic interfaces
For diagnostic and measurement purposes and for filling, discharging and
bleeding, a separate connection is provided at each chamber/line run on the
servo-hydraulic actuator. The relevant interface is shown in the hydraulic circuit
diagram and marked at the relevant place on the servo-hydraulic actuator.
Any work (e.g. connection, maintenance) on the hydraulic interfaces may exclu-
sively be carried out by Bosch Rexroth or by authorized and trained personnel,
