ENERAL INFORMATION

 

 
This document is intended as an aid to the installation, putting into operation and maintenance of 
the CIMSmart sensor supplied by Bosch Rexroth B.V.  
 
Before starting to work with the CIMSmart sensor, the relevant sections of this instruction manual 
must be studied properly. The result of installation and maintenance depends primarily on training, 
experience and good craftsmanship of the personnel performing the work. For all tasks, only 
persons from whom it is expected that they reliably perform their work are approved as personnel. 
Persons whose capacity to react is impaired, e.g. through drugs, alcohol, or medication are not 
approved as personnel. 
 

 

 

Warning! 

The mounting and removal of CIMSmart sensors is specialized work that 
can only be carried out properly by qualified and experienced personnel. In 
the event of questions or doubts arising, always contact the Bosch Rexroth 
service organization or your supplier. 

 
Repairing the sensor is not permitted. A defect CIMSmart has to be replaced by qualified and 
experienced personal.  
 
The statements, information and data published in this document are, to the best of our knowledge,

CIMSmart is mechanically and electrically compatible with CIMS Mk II / III, except that the standard 
connector changed from a 6-pin connector to a 9-pin connector. CIMSmart is fully compatible with 
CIMS Mk IV.
