4. For each 3 metres working width, the distance between the trays is increased by 0,5 metres.
5. Spread always in 3 tramlines
(see figure 1)

6. Start spreading minimum 10 metres before the trays. Stop spreading minimum 35 metres after the trays.
7. Empty the content of each tray into the corresponding tube and read the result.
8. The contents of the test trays will indicate the distribution in the field
(see figure 2)

The optimum setting is achieved – and a good and even distribution is achieved.
The overlap is too small. The setting of the spreader gives an insufficient overlap. An inadequate quantity is
applied between the tramlines. The tilt angle of the spreader must be adjusted in steps of +2º. Repeat
the test.
The overlap is too big: The setting of the spreader gives a too big overlap. A too large quantity is applied
between the tramlines. The tilt angle of the spreader must be adjusted in steps of -2º. Repeat the test.

Normal spreading
1. Place the 7 test trays in an even line across the tramlines
(see figure 1)
.
2. The distance between the trays are dependent on the working width.
3. Find the correct distance in the below table.
