Using the “Static until DHCP” setting when the
DASHBOARD is not being used
may cause communications problems
should a DHCP server ever be present on the IP control network.
In case the unit picks up a DHCP address and can no longer be communicated with because of an unknown IP address
assigned, do the following:
1. Disconnect the unit from the IP network.
2.
Reset the IP via the front panel button
3. Access unit via default IP address (172.16.70.1).
4.
Go to Admin page and change Control Port DHCP to “Static”.
5. Enter in a Control Port IP address based on network requirements.

Average Bit Rate:
The factory default for this option is "Disabled". The
“Enabled” setting should only be used when
incorrect bitrate information is specified in the video header as received from the broadcaster. Incorrect declared
bitrates from the broadcaster may cause overload/ buffer issues affecting the output TS. The “Enabled” setting allows
the unit to assign an alternate bitrate instead of what’s declared in the input TS.
Once Average Bit Rate is set to "Enabled", go to in section 6.3 (p.22) , and follow the instructions in order to
complete enabling of this feature.
