Playback a Video with a Neural Recording
A previously recorded video file can be played back in sync with a previously recorded neural data file. Note that
the files needed to have been recorded in sync.
Copy the neural data recording (.nev, .ns*, .ccf files of the same name as the video file) to the
NeuroMotive™ PC’s video playback directory.
Make sure the video filename is the same as the neural data files (with a different extension).
Start nPlayServer.
Open Central.
Open NeuroMotive™.
If you are viewing tracking, enable offline tracking in
Tools->Options->Video Display->Video Source->File
and then load the .ncf configuration file with the same filename as the video filename using
File->Open
Experiment
. You may need to adjust the threshold method and/or the low pass, morph open, and morph dilate
filters.
Browse and select the recorded neural data files in the nPlay File Control GUI (select any file from the
dropdown box that matches the desired filename).
NeuroMotive™ should automatically open the appropriate video file.If not, go to
File->Open Video
.
Type in the file name in the field or navigate to it and then click Open.
Use the playback controls (pause, stop, step, etc.) in NeuroMotive™, nPlay will
synchronize playback accordingly. Using the controls in nPlay causes uncertain
behavior. NeuroMotive™ provides accurate controls and the nPlay controls do
not reflect the state of the system.
The Central Software Suite applications automatically are synchronized with
nPlay, and thus with the video.
