Have filters been added at your BlackBerry Enterprise Server?

If your

system administrator has applied filters on the server, they will override
any filters that you have set on your desktop and, as a result, some email
messages may not be forwarded. Check with your system administrator
to see if any filters have been added.

•

Have you opened the messages on your desktop?

There are certain

instances where email messages may not be forwarded to your handheld
if they have already been read on your desktop before being processed by
the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. If you are in an area of low wireless
coverage and you read a message on your desktop, the BlackBerry
Enterprise Server may not recognize the message as unopened. Therefore,
it will not be forwarded to your handheld.

New or ISP email account FAQs

Why am I not receiving all of my email messages?

If you are not receiving some messages on your handheld, check whether any of
the following situations apply.

•

Are you within an area of sufficient wireless coverage?

You can send email

messages if

GPRS

appears below the wireless coverage indicator in the

top right corner of the screen. One or more bars must also appear beside
the wireless coverage indicator to send email messages.

•

Do you have message forwarding enabled?

Check the BlackBerry Web

Client web site and ensure that the

Forward messages to my BlackBerry

handheld

check box is selected. (The address for this web site is available

from your service provider.)

•

Have you set filter rules?

Check the filters on the BlackBerry Web Client’s

Filters page to ensure the email messages you want to receive are being
forwarded.

•

Have you set the filter order correctly?

The order in which the filters appear

in your filter list reflects the order in which they are applied to new
messages. You should check to see whether one of your filters is
preventing desired messages from being redirected to your handheld.
