compressors and pressure vessels

Electrical connection

Semi-hermetic compressors, condenser fans and elec-
trical accessories comply with the EU Low Voltage Dir-
ective 2014/35/EU.

Make electrical connections according to the schematic
wiring diagram in the terminal box of the compressor.
Take into account the EN 60204 and IEC 60364 safety
standards as well as national safety regulations. For
further information, please refer to the operating in-
structions of the electrical components, in particular of
the compressor.

7.1

Electrical connection of EC fans for LH32E/..
to LH135E/..

Connect the fan(s) according to the manufacturer’s op-
erating instructions.

This description supplements the operating instructions
of the fan manufacturer with details on the electrical
connection. The fans pose mechanical and electrical

hazards that cannot be detailed here. Therefore, please
read the fan operating instructions carefully and keep
them available at the refrigeration system throughout
the lifetime of the condensing unit!

When working on the fans of the heat exchangers: Ob-
serve the operating instructions of the fan manufac-
turer!

DANGER

Rotating fan blades!
Body parts may be injured, bone fractures!
Clothes may be caught and drawn into the pro-
tective grating!
Work on the fan only when it is at standstill!

When working on the electrical system:

DANGER

Electric shock!
Electric charge > 50 μC! Life-threatening
voltages on fan connection cables even after
disconnecting the voltage supply!
After disconnecting the voltage, wait five
minutes before touching the cables. First short-
circuit the connection cables for N (blue), L
(black) and PE (green-yellow)!

Connect a coupling relay K12) to the yellow and red
cables for the external release of the fan.
