Chapter 3 Operation
Once the kit is set up, the load is plugged in, and the element settings are
entered into the DPM, the DPM is ready to make measurements.
Operating the Measurement Kit
Sensor Elements
If a different sensor element is required, remove RF power before changing
elements. After changing elements perform
Measurement Type (Matches
Element used)
and
"Setting Scale" on page 9
.
Using the DPM
Set Offset
1. Tap the Display Controls Menu .
2. Tap Configuration.
3. Enter the Offset value (the offset can be found on the element reference
card included with the kit).
Measurement Type (Matches Element used)
1. Tap the Sensor Operation Menu .
2. Tap Sensor Mode.
3. Select measurement type based on elements inserted in the sensor. See
"5014 Sensor Element Types" on page 13
.
Setting Scale
1. Tap the Display Controls Menu .
2. Tap Configuration.
3. Enter Forward Scale (watt rating of the forward element).
Display a Graph of Power Readings

WARNING
RF voltage may be present in RF element socket. Keep element in socket
during operation.
