“Identification” section
The "
Operation mode
" parameter determines which identification algorithms are used by the reader:
Palm
–
palm vein identification mode. Upon the identifier presentation, the
“

successful
”
event will be generated and recorded in the event log.
Card
–
RFID-card identification mode. Upon the identifier presentation, the "
Identification is
successful
" event will be generated and recorded in the event log.
Palm or card
–
identification mode by palm veins or RFID-cards. Upon presentation of any
identifier, the event "
Identification is successful
" will be generated and recorded in the event
log.
Card + palm
–
palm card verification mode. In this mode, the reader waits for an attached
RFID-card. Upon the card presentation and user identification by the card code, confirmation
of identity by the palm veins is required. The read biometric data of the user's palm veins are
sent to BioSmart SmartHub for comparison with the user's palm vein template stored in the
Biosmart-Studio software database. If verification is successful, the event "
Identification is
successful
" will be generated and recorded in the event log.
Palm on card
–
palm card verification mode. In this mode, the reader waits for an attached
RFID-card. Upon the card presentation and the user identification by the card code,
confirmation of identity by the palm veins is required The read biometric data of the user's
palm veins will be compared with the palm vein pattern recorded in the encrypted area of the
Smart card. In this operation mode the palm vein template isn
’
t stored in the Biosmart-Studio
software, and is only on the user's smart card. If verification is successful, the event
"
Identification is successful
" will be generated and recorded in the event log.
