Servicing
This section contains the product maintenance types, the corresponding operations list, as well as
safety measures and frequency.
General Information
When storing the product and using it for its intended purpose, periodic maintenance is required.
Maintenance includes checking the appearance, removing dirt and dust.
The operations listed in this section are intended to keep the product in good working order and to
provide conditions for long-term trouble-free operation.
This section lists the recommended maintenance intervals. The customer must independently
determine the maintenance frequency, depending on the product operating conditions. For example, if the
product is operated in a dusty environment, then the operation to remove dirt and dust from the product
surfaces should be performed more often than indicated in this section.

When carrying out maintenance, be aware that the product is energized.

fire.
Maintenance for Intended Usage
During its intended use, the product should be serviced. The list of operations and the recommended
frequency are shown in the table.

Check the case integrity, no damage through which
liquid, dust, insects may get into the case;
Check the biometric scanner for damage (scratches,
chips);
Wipe the product outside with a soft dry cloth. For
disinfection, use a cloth soaked in 70% isopropyl
alcohol, provided that alcohol doesn
’
t get on the
connectors and inside the case;
Carefully remove dust and dirt from the biometric
scanner surface.

Check the RFID-reader operation, for this, attach a
compatible RFID-card to the reader and make sure
that the code is read correctly;
Check the biometric scanner operation, to do this, try
to identify the palm veins and make sure that the
employee is identified correctly;
If the product controls an executive device (for
example, an electric lock, a turnstile), then initiate the
issuance of a control command to the executive
device (perform identification).

If the product is stored in the custom packaging, maintenance operations are not required within the
designated shelf life.
When storing the product in a non-custom packaging, follow the steps in the table.
